MARINE Copepod Culture - DIOITHONA RIGIDA Sp

AQUABYTES Dioithona Rigida pods are a harpacticoid copepod, meaning that they are bottom-dwellers (benthic). These species of copepods are popular in fish hatcheries because they are hardy, easily cultured and reproduce prolifically (400 eggs produced per female). 

AQUABYTES Dioithona Rigida starter culture is perfect for aquarists who are interested in raising their own Dioithona Rigida copepods or who want to give their aquarium inhabitants an irresistible snack. These copepods serve as scavengers, contributing to an aquarium's clean-up crew.

All our copepods are raised in closed indoor systems (greatly minimises pests) and fed on natural algae and live microorganisms.
